Ordering & shipping

How long until my order ships?

Orders are processed within 1–3 business days. You will get a confirmation email with tracking as soon as your parcel leaves us.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your address and the method you choose. Any customs duties or import taxes charged by your country are the customer's responsibility.

How much is shipping?

It depends on your location and the speed you pick. Enter your address at checkout to see the exact cost before you pay.

Returns & exchanges

Can I return something?

Yes. You can return an item within 30 days of receiving it, as long as it is unworn, in its original condition and still has its tags attached.

Who pays for return shipping?

You do, if you have changed your mind or a colour is not what you hoped for. If the mistake is ours, we cover it.

What if the wrong item arrives, or something is faulty?

Then it is on us and we will make it right without you being out of pocket — either a refund or a replacement sent out, whichever you would prefer. Email hello@nayabhijabs.com with your order number and a photo, and we will take it from there.

How do I start a return?

Email us at hello@nayabhijabs.com and we will set it up. Pack the item securely in its original packaging, send it back, and keep your shipping receipt. Once it arrives we will inspect it and email you either way; approved refunds go back to your original payment method.

Is anything non-returnable?

Gift cards and sale items cannot be returned.

Fabrics & sizes

What size are your hijabs?

It varies by fabric. Modal cotton hijabs and modal sets are roughly 185 x 85cm. Printed modal is 180 x 70cm. Velvet silk is 180 x 80cm. Shimmer silk is 170 x 90cm. Every product page lists its own measurements.

Which hijabs are fully opaque?

Velvet silk, modal satin and cotton jersey are fully opaque, so you do not need to double up. Velvet silk also has a built-in non-slip lining, which means you can wear it without an undercap.

Which hijab should I pick for hot weather?

Modal cotton, printed modal and shimmer silk are the most breathable and the lightest to wear. Cotton jersey is heavier but stays put without pins.

What size abaya do I need?

Our abayas are one width with a choice of length: 54 inches suits 5ft3 to 5ft5, 56 inches suits 5ft5 to 5ft7, and 58 inches suits 5ft7 to 5ft9.

Care

How do I wash my hijab?

For modal, silk and satin, hand wash with a mild soap in warm water, then air dry flat. Skip the washing machine, and use a low iron or steam to release wrinkles. Cotton jersey can go in the machine on a cold, gentle cycle and should be dried flat to hold its shape.

Accessories

Will magnetic pins damage my hijab?

No. Magnetic pins hold the fabric between two magnets rather than piercing it, so there are no snags or pinholes, which is why they suit delicate silk and chiffon. They are not suitable for anyone with a pacemaker or a similar medical device.

Do I need an undercap?

Only if you want one. An undercap stops slippery fabrics from sliding and protects your hair. Velvet silk already has a non-slip lining, so it holds without one.
